Though their more popular Western cousins, the Cornish Pixies, were the latest to gain fame in the popular mind, all the locals know that the pixie folk to the East in Devonshire is the more ancient line. How thrilling to be so close to them!

This specimen has been mounted on a 1/8" brass rod with brass mounting décor as shown in the photo. The wood base is painted flat black and topped by a real glass globe as seen in the photos.

The creator of these high-end show pieces is an extremely Talented Artist. The specimens each look as if they are truly real bone and the display stands with real glass finish off the items as if to be displayed in a museum of extraordinary things.
I was curious to encounter the Devonian Pixie once again, but nervous about its inherent impishness and penchant for tomfoolery. Imagine my surprise when I discovered Mortimer and Gaunt had made the specimens available for safe viewing from behind the safety of special glass. It also helps that the creature is now very, very dead.
Securely nestled inside its glass case, whatever method the naturalist and the occultist used to cage the creature is still holding up after all this time. Mortimer’s taxidermy gives the observer a unique look at the skeletal structure, and Gaunt’s unique glass case keeps the worst of the rattling from leaving the cage.
I may have made a mistake putting it too close to the Common Hob I also acquired from the emporium, however. Late at night I could swear I hear scratching on the glass, and the clicking of small teeth from behind the glass.
But other than that, great purchase!
I ordered the Devonian Pixie and ADORE it! Shipping took slightly longer than I expected but the packaging was classy and the Pixie is PERFECT. I get so many double-takes and compliments! Will be ordering more.
I love unusual items and my Pixie fits the bill. I would rather have one unusual item than ten run of the mill items. Everyone who sees the Pixie is just in awe of the detail. I can't wait to get the Brownie and add to my collection. Thank you for creating such a unique piece.
